Customized SEO can be an important part of your online business if you intend search engine exposure to be a major factor in your advertising campaign. Search engine optimization is a subject that most people know little about and make most errors in trying to achieve.

There is no argument that first page exposure on major search engine such as Google, Yahoo or MSN will bring visitors to your website. However, with an increasingly large number of webpages competing for keywords, this is very difficult to achieve, and while it is claimed that natural writing of content produces better results than artificially optimized pages, there is much that can be done to help the process along.

What are these steps? They start with your choice of URL. Your URL should reflect the theme of your website and be easy for users of search engines to type into their browser. Customization steps then continue to website design. The best performing websites are designed to feature high in search engine listings, and it is frequently possible only to make slight differences to websites that are already complete. SEO customization should be built into your website rather than added to it after.



It is important that you make it as easy as possible for search engine crawlers to find your site. Your web pages should be focused on the topic they are presenting and indicate to search engine algorithms what the page is about. Hence, you keyword must be in the title, and the title should be the first text in the html that the spider comes across. It should also be contained within tags since search engines regard the contents of H1 tags as being the most important on the page. You title should also be within tags since this also imparts a degree of importance.
